VERDICCHIO DEI CASTELLI DI JESI CLASSICO RISERVA 'RINCROCCA' LA STAFFA DESCRIPTION

The Verdicchio dei Castelli di Jesi Classico Riserva “Rincrocca” is a clear and engaging expression of one of the most suited white grape varieties in Italy. It cannot be denied that the Marche region possesses a truly valuable wine heritage, but it has often been wasted by favoring impersonal and flattened expressions of territorial liquids. Fortunately, things have changed over the years, and following the path of Corrado Dottori, who could be defined as the man of Italian Verdicchio, a young generation of producers has begun to bottle high-level expressions. Among these, we confidently point out Riccardo Baldi, born in 1990, who in the area of Castelli di Jesi, manages 12 hectares of vineyard under organic farming, obtaining expressions of great purity and concreteness. A young reality but with a desire for constant growth and perfection, which undoubtedly makes it one of the most convincing future certainties of the Italian landscape.

The wine “Rincrocca” is a pure expression of Verdicchio obtained from a vineyard from 1972 cultivated according to the principles of sustainable agriculture, thus excluding the use of any chemical or synthetic substances. In the winery, spontaneous alcoholic fermentation continues in cement tanks and aging for 12 months in the same containers and at least another 12 months in the bottle.

The Verdicchio “Rincrocca” presents itself in the glass with a very classic straw-yellow appearance. The nose is bright and sunny, extremely defined with hints of golden apple, plum, elderflower, and lime. The great cleanliness that characterizes the olfactory aspect is also noticeable on the palate, where the liquid proves to be smooth and endowed with a truly remarkable saline length that carries its persistence. Energy and vitality.

When to drink
Wine good to drink now, but that can have a beautiful evolution after resting for a while in your cellar
Glass
Medium open goblet
Perfect for young and medium bodied white wines which don't require excessive oxygenation to open. The opening, slightly tighter than the body of the glass, favors the concentration of aromas towards the nose, enhancing the perception of aromas and limiting the dispersion
Longevity
You can let it rest in the cellar comfortably for 2-3 years
