VERMENTINO 'PAGLIATURA' FATTORIA DI MAGLIANO 2024 DESCRIPTION

The Vermentino "Pagliatura" from Fattoria di Magliano is a white wine with simple aromas, where the linearity of fruity and floral notes is appreciated. The Vermentino, a grape variety that expresses itself at good levels in Maremma, takes on a certain territoriality on the palate, where a savory and salty taste is perceived, reminiscent of those coastal winds that smell of the sea, and that shake the vines' shoots daily. A round bottle with a harmonious soul, perfect for pairing with fish dishes.

The "Pagliatura" Fattoria di Magliano is a pure Vermentino, a grape variety that grows according to principles of organic farming. The vineyards, facing north and northwest at about 150-250 meters above sea level, are characterized by medium soil, rich in skeleton. The climate is particularly influenced by the sea breezes coming from the nearby Tyrrhenian Sea, ensuring an excellent temperature excursion between day and night, ideal for the ripening of the grapes. The cryomaceration of the grapes is followed by a soft pressing.Soft and the must obtained ferments in steel tanks for 20-25 days at controlled temperature. The final maturation phase takes place first for 3 months on fine lees in steel, and then, after bottling, for another 6 months in the bottle.

The “Pagliatura” Vermentino from Fattoria di Magliano presents itself to the eye with a straw yellow color, enhanced by light greener reflections, visible at the rim. It opens with mainly floral notes, enriched in the finish by more fruity, fresh, and crisp references. On the palate, it is light-bodied, slender, and easy-drinking thanks to a savory and refreshing mouthfeel. Perfect to drink now, it is a bottle suitable for any occasion, able to stylishly accompany both the aperitif hour and complete meals.
