Josef Ehmoser's Zweigelt comes from the organic vineyards of Grossweikersdorf. Temperature-controlled fermentation and ageing in large wooden barrels are techniques chosen to enhance the verticality of this native grape variety, accentuating its depth and structure. The nose releases aromas of ripe blackberry and raspberry, with typical hints of pepper. On the palate, it is full-bodied and enveloping, with soft tannins and a juicy mouthfeel. Ideal with red meats and structured dishes, try it with a red wine braised cheek
Deep ruby red with violet reflections
Dark attack of ripe blackberry and raspberry, with hints of hazelnut and black pepper
Very smooth, enveloping on the palate, juicy but with good body
